Split a Stereo Track Into Mono - Pro Tools

To split a stereo track into mono:

1. Right click on the track name.
2. Left click on "Split into Mono". The stereo track is split into 2 separate mono tracks.
3. Hide and make the original stereo track inactive in case you decide to use or reference it later.

To hide and make a track inactive:

1. Right click on the track name.
2. Left click on "Hide and Make Inactive" from the menu.

NOTE: Each side/track of a stereo track/file contains unique audio information.
