Disable Playback of Mute Automation - Pro Tools

How to disable the playback of mute automation on a single track.

1. Left-click on the Track View selector (outlined in red below).

2. Left-click on the word "mute" in the menu that appears.
3. Press and hold down the Ctrl + Windows Logo keys.
4. Left-click on the track view selector (now labeled mute) to disable mute automation on the track.

The Track View selector will turn a darker shade of gray, and the font becomes italicized indicating mute automation is disabled. I've drawn a red line around the disabled mute automation track view selector in the image below.

To disable mute automation on all tracks in a session (including hidden and Inactive tracks).

1. Left-click on the Track View selector of a track.
2. Left-click on the word "mute" in the menu that appears.
3. Press and hold down the Ctrl + Alt keys.
4. Left-click on the track view selector (mute) to disable mute automation on all tracks in the session.
